Le jeune libraire Kosuke Mikado a la capacité de voir les fantômes et les esprits, un don qu’il souhaite s’en débarrasser, car ce qu’il voit le terrifie généralement. Rihito Hiyakawa est un puissant exorciste qui possède des pouvoirs surnaturels et qui ne semble rien craindre. Leur rencontre va les emmener à travailler ensemble sur des affaires de meurtres.
